Looking for my commercial CD releases?
Welcome to the Ochre Download Store, where you can buy tracks in high-quality 320kbps mp3 and lossless FLAC formats. (With the exception of the remixes and live sets of course, as I don't hold the copyright to them.) All the commercial downloads are streamed in 128kbps, 22.1kHz mp3. The player will load all three volumes by default, set to shuffle playback.
Please disable your download managers before downloading purchased files.
More help and information here.

Please download the Adobe Flash Plugin to use this player.

| Volume II (2004-05) | £2 |
| Volume III (2006-07) | £2 |
| AudioMicroDevice (2001) | £2 |
| Remixes & Live Sets | £0 |
Download all these tracks individually in 320kbps mp3, for a few cents each, at Amie Street:
This work is licenced under a Creative Commons Licence. Please feel free to use the music in your own non-commercial videos, animations, games, flash projects, college/uni work etc. All I ask is that you credit me with an URL. Thanks.
How to Pay
Payment is handled either via Google Checkout, PayPal, or directly using a credit card, i.e. you do not need a PayPal account to pay (when you checkout click on the 'continue' link to the left where it says "Don't have a PayPal account?", above the credit card icons). Once payment is complete, you will be presented with the download links, and will also immediately receive download links via email, valid for 48 hours (a week for the bundles), to download your shiny new music. Pricing is set in UK Pounds Sterling, and will be converted to your own currency according to your exchange rate.
With your purchase, you have a choice of downloading 320kbps mp3s (the best sound quality available from an mp3) and/or lossless, true CD-quality FLAC versions. FLAC is identical in sound quality to CD audio—you can even decode the FLACs to the original master .wav files if you so wish!
If you just want to play the tracks on your iPod immediately, then I suggest you go for the 320kbps mp3. If you want to burn the files to CD, encode them into other music formats (including mp3), or simply wish to experience the music at its very best, then go for the FLAC! Needless to say, none of the files are affected by any use limitation DRM or suchlike; you are free to copy, burn, backup and convert the files as you wish.
If you have any questions or suggestions, concerns or problems with the service, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Help!
Which players support FLAC playback?
Please visit the FLAC website to see which software and hardware players support FLAC playback. Remember, you can always decode the FLAC files back to the original wav files for greater playback compatibility, free to encode them into other formats such as AAC, OGG, Apple Lossless, aiff, mp3 etc. I can heartily recommend Foobar2000 for all your audio media playing needs (on PC/Win anyway).
My downloads have expired after just a single download—what's going on?
You may use the provided download link five times before it expires. However, if you use a download manager that opens multiple download connections when downloading, you may find you've used up all your allotted download attempts in a single download. Please therefore disable your download managers before starting your downloads, or try to limit the number of concurrent download connections to just a single connection (no multipart downloads). Of course, if your downloads do still expire, please let me know and I'll re-enable them as soon as I can.

You need to get yourself on a bigger label that has the resources to make your music more accessible.

Hey. Your music effort is really appreciated. I wasn’t sure about going to Glade this year, but seeing as you’re making an (audible?) appearance, it swings the balance.
Stay diverse - it’s definately paying dividends.

Great work with the “Esign”, your music goes smoothly with that travel.
July 17th, 2007 at 6:02 pm
Yeah, already on the dl. However, I’m interested to hear why you chose “No Derivative Works” ?
Hope this is as good as Lemodie! Keep up the good work!

About the NDW - basically I just want to be kept in the loop should anyone create music derived from (e.g. sampling) or remixing any of the above material. That’s reasonable enough, I would have thought. As noted by the CC key, “any of these conditions can be waived if you get permission from the copyright holder.”
Hope the download is worth your time.
July 17th, 2007 at 11:57 pm
Yeah, but there’s nothing wrong I think if someone derives from your music (which is already given for free). He’s definitely going to inform you anyway
Ofcourse that it’s worth! Thanks for answering

Wow Chris, I love that every time I remember to check your site theres something new for me to listen to. As with everything else youve released I listen to all of latest tracks repeatedly… I find Hatchling to be especially beautiful as I have several windchimes hanging around outside my house. The pipes on one of them are taller than I am ^_^

I don’t know what I would do without you, Ochre.
September 14th, 2007 at 9:54 am
Love the music, not one track disappoints and such sublime audio pleasures must be rewarded. I’m gonna subscribe to your RSS feed et al and grab the latest music and drop a penny in the proverbial paypal bucket a bit more frequently. Nothing comes close to Ochre for it’s freshness in my (very) humble opinion!

April 24th, 2008 at 12:59 pm
Chris, listening to your music is like looking at an oil painting that seemlessly shifts to something else! I just wanted to ask, what’s your musical background? I used to be classical, but cos I play piano by ear I left the school and am less interested in physical techniques than in how melody itself is weaved and expanded into something else (like the track ‘beneath fleeting visions’). Your structuring method is very intriguing, it’d be great if u could share some tohughts on that. Many thanks from ur biggest russian fan!

Hi there-=
To anyone who has been putting off buying the above tracks, on account of finances or already having the mp3 versions which the site used to have - stop waiting. There’s several songs you won’t've heard, plus all new versions of certain tracks (Advanced Tree Surgery, for example, sounds heaps better). In addition to that, the level of quality is far and away in advance of the old mp3 versions, which always sounded a bit harsh -
these versions are smooth, the way they’re meant to be heard -
it’s the difference between looking at a high quality DVD and looking at the VHS version (for those of you who are actually old enought o remember VHS!). And at 2 quid per hour of music, who’s counting?
Cheers,
Matt Bentley
